I need some literary advice

So, here’s the thing: Over the years, I have written and had published a few fun stories that I know you would enjoy. However, here at this site, I am known as HuntMode and those articles were published under another name. I wish to remain HuntMode here, so how do I publish them here on this site? Thanks for any insights y’all might have.

  1. Are you wanting to keep the two names separate from one another? In other words, if you’re blogging anonymously and your other work has your name on it, do you not want to reveal your name? I know a lot of bloggers who choose to blog anon.

    • Hi Jenn, yes, I’d want to keep ’em separate. I’ve become pretty slapdash on separation though. However, from everyone’s thoughts, I think it would be fine to just post ’em without having to say “by xyz.” I was thinking more from a legal standpoint, but whether HuntMode or me, it’s still all mine. πŸ™‚

      • Oh, I understand. That makes perfect sense. I have been nervous about posting creative works, too, because of legalities. And I don’t want to risk anyone stealing my writings. I know it’s a hard decision to make. I do hope you are able to securely share your writings because I’d love to read them!

  2. A “Guest Page” as suggested by inavukic – keeps a distance between self and the other “self” πŸ™‚

If you don’t want to let on that the “guest” is you – delete this post, wait a few weeks/months and simply slip in the “guest” – Yes, a bit of cloak and dagger πŸ™‚

If required, remove any hints in (rewrite) the stories that might point to HuntMode

    Have fun πŸ˜†

  3. I can’t really give you any advice other than to just copy the stories and post them πŸ˜‰
They’re yours, so you can do with them what you like after all πŸ™‚
    looking forward to reading them…

  4. Thanks to all of you, both for the encouragement and the ideas. Anybody hear about each writer having a “unique” voice? Well, mine is and you’d know in a heartbeat they were mine. I think maybe a separate page for them and just leave the writer’s name off? As one of you said, they are mine. πŸ™‚

  5. Hunt, Paulette of “The Persecution of Milred Dunlap” fame can really help you on this. She is a published author and helped my daughter thru a lot of the “legal” issues and copyright things. Give her a shout she is a great lady and will help in a million ways. You can even throw my name out, not that it will help LOL. Take care, Bill

    • Bill, your suggestion of Paulette is well thought out. She is delightful and always helpful. I made the decision to simply go ahead and post with copyright dates, generally at the bottom as in the AWOL series, knowing I have the proof of their gestation. Grin.
