Ain’t it a shame that it’s an ad for alcohol, Huntie? – this is a very sensitive topic in Sydney, right now … But I agree that it’s a marvellous video!
M.R., I am unfamiliar with why it would be a sensitive issue in Sydney – what have I missed? Not knowing, I gotta admit I love Budweiser, both the beer and the adverts, which here in the land of micro brews makes me a heretic. ๐
Good heavens, M.R.! Thanks for the link. We have cracked down hard on drunk driving and none of our bars, little, middle or large stay open past 2:00 a.m., at least here in the Pacific Northwest and California.
I suspect we all focus on the character we’re looking for. I have got to say that fella was an eye-catcher – especially that moment where he glances up and spots the puppy leading the clydesdales….
Hunt, I have enjoyed the Bud commercials for years, and will continue to, and I don’t even like Bud. But the commercials are a pure joy. The key is that the Bud commercials seem to always promote the greater good, be it friendship or loyalty, love. The consumption of alcohol has been under attack from many directions for years now. Some of these attacks are quite reasonable, MADD is a good example. The only places I have been where it is common for bars to be open beyond 2am is in Vegas and Reno. After all that rambling, the fact is that is a great commercial. Take care, Bill

This is not something you’ve missed, inasmuch as it’s so parochial an issue. We have a serious binge drinking problem here, which has led to “king hits” that have killed people. Hence the cartoon in my post for January 26 (Australia Day).

A draught of pure joy. Drunk only on the energy of being together with a friend. Bubbling with charm.

I don’t know whose brain child this was but I love it. Too bad it’s not just about friendship. ๐

Did it sooth the previous one that made you cry? Even if you’re coming back to it again later on? I had you in mind, Bill!

This reminds me of the “Puppy Bowl” on Animal Planet that an old blogging friend from the Vox platform introduced me to.
