It took me a while to find just that right photo of him, M.R. I read some of the obituaries written and he was a very independent man, also, an activist (!).
Yes; I was thinking of that when I read your post. You are forgiving in your political views when they are not relevant to the topic in hand, eh ? Goodonyer, Huntie !
Hunt, James Garner became my hero oh TV, and I loved the old Maverick show. I was always happier when his character was the main play for the week rather than his brother. He will be truly missed. Thanks for putting the tribute out for him. Take care, Bill
I’ve had no access to English language news for over 10 days now and this is the first I’ve heard about James Garner. This makes me so sad.
I fell in love with Garner when Maverick was playing on TV. I watched every show of Rockford Files and went to every movie he played in simply because he was in it.
In my eyes, he was truly a legend.
Joanne, where are you? Sorry you had to hear this at all. It’s been a busy 10 days news-wise. You may want a drink at the end of catching up. Glad to see you here. π
In the past 2 weeks, I’ve been in Germany, Czech Republic and now Poland.
I heard about the horrible plane crash in the Ukraine. I assume Putin still isn’t taking responsibility.
That’s about it. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.
Wow, Joanne! I do hope you’ll write about your trip. Ummm, Putin, in fact, has escalated. Reports of firing on Ukraine from within the borders of Russia. Stay safe!
What a beautiful photo of him, Huntie – SUCH a lovely man. They say he was just like Maverick …

He was great in so many venues. I loved him in Support Your Local Sheriff. What a delightful comedy western that was. Grin.

I’ve heard about the artillery fire. Ahh Putin – even saying his name is like trying to spit out something really distasteful.
